Development Boards

At first sight this might appear to be an unlikely area for the skills of the traditional sign writer as vinyl graphics can be used for instant signs.

As the property market is developing, the far-sighted developers and estate agents are recognising the market need for total quality and individuality from initial design, construction and finishing detail. This also includes the signage which is normally the first indicator to potential clients of the companies' ethos and attitude to detail. So often one sees signs claiming "quality", "heritage", "traditional materials" etc. but they are factory produced from plastics and vinyl; this implies cheap (not inexpensive), expedient and temporary.

With our development boards we use traditional materials and design the sign for a specific development, whilst retaining overall corporate identity.

dbtempleman.jpg (17695 bytes) "Old Mill Walk" is in the High Street in the historic town of Battle, one of the most famous towns in Britain because of its history commencing in 1066, with the Battle of Hastings and a group of aggressive Norman tourists.
dbabbeymews.jpg (27828 bytes) "Abbey Mews" is in the heart of the mediaeval village of Robertsbridge and the sign is sympathetic to its setting.
dbmillclose.jpg (26394 bytes) "Mill Close" is set in the rural village of Staplecross and the windmill featured is based on the actual mill that stood on this site.
The last two of the above were commissioned by Freeman Forman one of the leading estate agents for quality property. The following statement is from Nick Forman of Freeman Forman:
"Freeman Forman are now one of the largest Independent Estate Agents in the South East and have expanded to a network of twelve offices over the course of ten years. Their success has been built on a bedrock of honesty, integrity and above all personal service and recommendation. Freeman Foreman are pleased to have forged a relationship with J. C. Signs & Scenes who are now producing hand crafted and hand painted site boards for various new developments across the county. The two companies have one common goal and that is to produce the best possible product and service which itself is generating repeat business as both are recognised professionals within the industry."
